If so, spare a thought for your opponent waiting at the board for a game. While you are out seeing the sights, (or even just lying in bed) he's twiddling his thumbs as the time passes until the game is won by default.
Most of us have come to the tournament to play go. We've paid money to play in the tournament. I think it is grossly impolite to deny someone a game because you are too lazy or too thoughtless to inform the organisers in advance that you do not play. Please don't do it again!
