I Giochi Sforzeschi - Mind Sports Festival consistono in una grande manifestazione che si terrà a Milano dal 4 all’8 dicembre 1999, con il patrocinio del Comune di Milano e della Regione Lombardia. Questo evento vedrà coinvolti il bellissimo Castello Sforzesco e due importanti musei della città, il Museo Civico di Storia Naturale e il Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnica.
Durante questi giorni diverse Associazioni di giochi come Scacchi, Shogi, Dama, Mah Jong, Risiko, Backgammon, Burraco, Quarto, Go organizzeranno tornei e dimostrazioni.
E' disponibile l'elenco completo dei giochi coinvolti.
Questo evento è stato promosso ed organizzato dalla Federazione Italiana Giuoco Go, con il duplice scopo di avvicinare gli italiani ai “giochi della mente” che non sempre ricevono l’attenzione che meriterebbero e di riunire varie Associazioni in modo da avere una maggiore copertura dei media che sarà d’aiuto nella promozione dei diversi giochi.

Questa manifestazione non sarebbe stata possibile se non grazie anche all’interessamento ed alla volontà di alcuni amministratori locali e regionali.

The Giochi Sforzeschi - Mind Sports Festival is a big event which will take place in Milan from the 4th to the 8th december 1999, supported by the Townhall of Milan and the Lombardy Region. It will involve the beautiful Sforzesco Castle as well as two important museums of the town, the Municipal Museum of Natural History and the National Museum of Science and Technology.
During these days several Games Associations will held tournaments and demonstrations. Chess, Shogi, Draughts, Mah Jong, Risk, Backgammon, Burraco, Quarto!, Go are only a few examples.

This event is promoted and organized by the Italian Go Federation, with the aim of bringing people in Italy closer to the “mind sports” that not always get all the attention they deserve, and to join several Associations resources in order to obtain a better media coverage that will help in promoting the different games.
