Notes on Train Travel

This is what I have learnt from making one train journey and planning another. Few trains stop at the station in Abano itself; you should normally use the station in Montegrotto instead. This station appears on timetables as Terme Euganee; the full name is something like "Terme Euganee: Abano-Montegrotte". On the map it seems to be about a 3.5 km walk away, or you can take the bus M from opposite the congress hotel. However, sometimes it is better to use Padova station instead. Buses A, M and T from outside the congress hotel all stop at Padova station; the bus journey takes about 25-35 minutes. Buon viaggio!
